Pretty Good Training Suit, March 1, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Speedo Men's Male Poly Mesh Training Suit (Apparel) Unlike the other reviewer, this Speedo mesh training suit fit quite well. The outer mesh was a bit baggier than I thought and I might have done well with one size down. But then who knows - that smaller size might have had the same problems that the other reviewer experienced. Previously, I had been wearing the typical small Speedo and Adidas competition suits. But they seem to wear out faster and started to feel a bit small - almost tiny. Plus I was starting to look for a bit more modesty that the mesh leg version offers, as you guys probably know what I mean.
This suit is advertised as adding a bit more drag for training purposes, but I really didn't notice much difference from my old competition suit. One additional thing to note, however. I chose this Speedo model (#705896) over the similar and more popular (by number of reviews) other Speedo leg mesh training model (#705970) because this model (#705896) has an additional inner support that keeps things nice and tight... Not for guys with bigger than average legs, July 15, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase The material seems fine, but the fit is completely wrong. The leg holes of the inner suit are not very elastic and cut too small. I wear a confortably loose 36 waist in most everything with a belt. I tried a 36 and 38 and neither fit properly. The waist is much too large and the leg opening are not designed (in size or flexibility of sizing) for anyone not of average or smaller thighs. I was a swimmer in HS and college, but at 6'2" 225 have always been bigger than my teammates. This suit is NOT for bigger guys, athletically built or otherwise. I'm sure the suit works well for 90% of the population, but if your size falls into the upper or lower 5%, look elsewhere.

Great training suit!!!, May 8, 2011 By This review is from: Speedo Men's Male Poly Mesh Training Suit (Apparel) This suit is a great suit. Its sole purpose is to make you train harder. It does exactly that. Best drag suit out there.
Just like any clothing or apparel one buys, you should always try it on and see what fits because sizes are not universal. This suit is NOT supposed to fit snug. It's a training/drag suit that needs to be baggy. Yeah the inner liner is a little tight if you order your normal suit size, but you need to order at least one size bigger than a normal suit. I normally wear size 32 Speedo weenie bikini (best I can describe them), but wear size 34 training/drag suits. I think I might go up to a size 36 training/drag suit just for more bagginess.
You must order a suit that you can fit into. If you're a big fella, you cannot fit into this suit if you try a size equal to your normal suit. Always order a minimum of one size bigger. If you normally wear a size 36 or 38 weenie bikini, you may need to go up a minimum of two sizes for this... Read more
